| Rosie Bloom was a charter member
of the local Audubon Society chapter. She exemplified the
qualities of the Audubon ideal -- love for nature and the
willingness to work to preserve it. Each year Audubon Miami
Valley offers the Rosie Bloom Memorial Scholarship to local
educators interested in furthering conservation and
environmental education. The award is used for camp session
fees at one of the Audubon camps, currently located in Maine
and Minnesota. Transportation, longer stays, and additional
fees are the responsibility of the participant.
