Indian Creek Palette will foster within young people an appreciation for, and a sense of, commitment to immediate avian conservation through seasonal hands-on fieldwork involving bird identification, habitat enhancement, journaling, and the arts.

Indian Creek Palette will convey the importance of bigger-picture avian conservation problem-solving via computer information retrieval, exposure to existing data bases, and collected-data entry which will contribute to the Citizen Science research pool.

Indian Creek Palette will affect the future of birds all over the world by supporting young people's avian conservation vigor.

Bird Clubs of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders meet monthly in the science classroom and on the school grounds to

study/write newsletters/create art/make birdhouses or feeders/etc for different colored birds:

.. all about Bluebirds

... all about Warblers

... all about Ruby-throated Hummingbirds

Clubs choose which colored bird they want to work with the following year and a field trip

"into the wilds" (a local creek) with a bird count wraps up the school year
