Count Chimney Swifts roosting for the night in Sawyer Smokestack behind Peabody Hall on Miami ’s Western Campus at 8:00 pm .

Join Jo Layera and Tom Klak as they share their love and knowledge of butterflies.  Learn what plants Jo has planted to attract butterflies to her yard.  Meet at 9:00 am on the west side of the old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot to carpool.

See birds up close, while Dave bands birds and tells us about them, at the bird banding station at Hueston Woods State Park .  Meet 7:00 am on the west side of the old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot to carpool.

See the newest Butler County metro Park with Hardy Eshbaugh and Mike Vincent, Miami University . Meet at 7:30 am on the west side of the old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot.

Join us for the annual Warbler Walk at Kathy Hunter and Ron Huffmeier’s farm in nearby Indiana to search for these neo-tropical jewels.  Meet at 7:30 am on the west side of the old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot.

Join the annual trip to one of the best birding spots in the US .  Probably one of the best value birding trips in the country!  Lodging and transportation, along with expert guides will cost approximately $160 per person. FOR FAMILIES!  Join Liz for a day at Aullwood exploring the nature center, tall grass prairie and working farm.  Fun for all ages! Meet at the west side of the old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot at 9:00 am to carpool.  Bring a sack lunch.

Members and the general public are welcome at all events of Audubon Miami Valley .  Field trips are free unless otherwise noted. The old Oxford Wal-Mart parking lot is located on South Locust Street .

 

Notice for any trip that must be cancelled for any reason will be made on the AMV web site as soon as it is known.  If it is raining or snowing the morning of a field trip, call the field trip coordinator (Linda Williams, 513-523-1538) to confirm that the trip will be held, or to receive alternate instructions.
